Ragnar Sigurðsson ranks 1st on the Independence Party's list in Fjarðabyggð He lives in Reyðarfjörður and works as the CEO of K-Tech. Ragnar is a lawyer with a master's degree in business administration and has extensive experience in business and public administration.

Ragnar has served on the municipal council as a full member since 2022, having previously served as a deputy municipal councillor. He also serves as the chairman of the municipal council and is the chairman of the Independence Party's local council. He was also a deputy member of parliament for the Northeast constituency in the last election term.

Ragnar is running because he believes it is important to continue the journey that began when Sjálfstæðisflokkurinn assumed responsibility and took a seat in the majority in 2024. He wants to build on the successes that have been achieved, further strengthen the municipality's operations, and create more room for development. Ragnar places special emphasis on job creation, strengthening infrastructure and Fjarðabyggð will remain a strong and competitive community with diverse opportunities for residents and businesses.

Ragnar's hobbies include outdoor activities, sports, and family life. In his opinion, Fjarðabyggð best built with responsible decisions, solidarity and ambition to achieve success in the future.
