Sigurjón Rúnarsson

I am a 53 year old physiotherapist, raised in Reyðarfjörður and live there with my wife, Rebekka Rán Egilsdóttir and our two boys, Rúnar and Aron. In addition to them, I have three older children, Almar Blæ, Bríet and Þór and one great-grandchild, her name is Mattea Myrk.

The community here is very dear to me and I want to do my part to further improve and strengthen it.

Sports and leisure issues are very important to me, as well as family issues in general, and I believe development in that area is important for the future, continued development, and strengthening of the municipality. 

It is important to further promote the development of the economy in the region and to emphasize diversity. Existing businesses need to be supported and new ones facilitated.  

Need to be done Fjarðabyggð more visible, improve the presentation of all the advantages that the area has to offer, increase cooperation and solidarity within the municipality and improve transportation between residential centers.
