Sóley Katrín Heiðarsdóttir

My name is Sóley Katrín Heiðarsdóttir and am a 22-year-old Reyðarfjörður native with a Bs degree in Fisheries Science from the University of Akureyri. My main hobbies are cooking, being outdoors, exercising and spending time with family and friends. In 2022-2025 I lived in Akureyri and studied at the University of Akureyri. Last summer I traveled around the country with the Icelandic Fisheries School and then moved home last fall where I got a job at Eimskip in Reyðarfjörður. There I have met and worked with great people and gained a better insight into how diverse and exciting the business world is in Fjarðabyggð . 

I am passionate about ensuring that our young people who go to study have a real opportunity to return home after completing their studies - that is why I am volunteering - to contribute, support our young people and participate in developing and strengthening our community here in Fjarðabyggð .
